The feeling of ‘overwhelm’ when a problem seems insurmountable, is the catalyst for not starting at all. But what if, rather than putting things in the ‘too hard basket’ because we are crippled by our overwhelm, we let ourselves get curious about how we can do things differently?
We as individuals can feel powerless in affecting change when we see the scale of what we are trying to achieve, as a global community, in the media. But creating a positive momentum can be as simple as questioning each decision with;
‘Is this action in the best interest of the public and the environment?
Are we being a positive contributor to our national and/or global challenges?
If the answer is yes then great. If the answer is no, then rethink your next steps. Passing the buck to someone else only delays progress and encourages a lack of accountability in the business community. Showing leadership by being a part of the solutions rather than the problem is also great for business. It's also okay to make mistakes along the way as long as your intentions are genuine, people are far more forgiving of businesses with integrity because they trust them to do the right thing.
